Sand Snowman (Gavan Kearney) has been recording music since 2005, collaborating with artists such as Judy Dyble, Steven Wilson, Moonswift, Amandine Ferrari, Bobbie Watson, Theo Travis, Demian Castellanos and Jo Lepine (to name a few), and has, to date, issued 10 albums on the Dutch Label Tonefloat, American labels Time Lag & Beta Lactam Ring Records and Reverb Worship in the UK. 

 

Gavan is currently performing in a band with long term Wife/partner Moonswift and guitarist Julian Franklyn (as yet they have been unable to agree on a name...watch this space)

 

 

Gavan spent a number of years sleepwalking through a BA in Fine Art (with a minor in Sonic Arts) and, whilst a prolific painter, seldom exhibits as he rather prefers how his work looks as a flat reproduction rather than hanging off a wall somewhere.

 

 

Gavan also writes and occasionally gives talks, his subjects of interest being Art, Culture and how (and to what end) they are manipulated, the occult, the Eneagram personality system and consciousness- related issues in general.
